Meet Lily Lichtenstein
Inspired by one of the Pop Art Masters, Roy Lichtenstein, who came to fame in the 1960’s. He brought a quiet brilliance to the art world. As the word ‘Pop’ suggests, he used popular images, like comic strip cartoons, which at the time would ordinarily sell for 10cents and in contrast, turned them into expensive and striking art pieces. I believe his work honored these everyday images into the world of fine art, he helped us notice their craft, their wit, and a value we’d never quite seen before.
